Why I’ll never attend an air show

If somebody can find some good stats about your chances of dying at an air show, please post them there. I reckon it’s gotta be pretty high (comparably, anyway).

The latest air show accident report comes from Ireland - the BBC reports three people were injured when a door fell from a hovering helicopter. Ouch!

In other news, I’ve rediscovered the joys of baking (and eating!) Anzac Cookies. Mmmmmmm.

I think you’re fine as long you don’t smoke or drive to the air show.

“Two thirds of deaths in EU are caused by circulatory diseases and cancer.
Among Europe’s younger population, external factors such as transport accident and suicide are the most frequent cause of death”

I wonder if air shows go under “transport accident”.

That’s a tricky one. Technically it is a transport accident. And, for lack of an ‘air show tragedy’ category, quite a good one.

Whatever you do, don’t commute via motorbike…yikes!

No wonder they call ‘em mobile organ donors.

Yeah my mum worked as a nurse in the 70’s and they called motorcyclists “donor riders”.
