Licenced to …drive a tractor?
Renewed. When I got my gold drivers’ licence, five years seemed like an eternity. That’s how 2011 feels like now, so I’m writing this in the hope I can look back on it in five years time and say something inane such as ‘my, how time flies these days’.
The good news is the photo doesn’t make me look like an escaped convict (I reckon it’s pretty good, as licence photos go). But why do they always insist on giving you pens that don’t work for the first two letters of your signature? I guess the signature’s not so important when there’s a pic of your mug right there on the card.
The most interesting thing, I think, is that my licence lets me drive a tractor. Cool! And an ‘implement’. What’s that? Oh, and a vehicle seating up to 12 adults, to 4.5 tonnes. Does that include minibuses?
