I took this at Atherton, North Queensland in the Crystal Cave while we were on holiday earlier this year. It’s a beautiful, giant amethst, lit for best effect. I couldn’t help myself - I had to take out my mobile and snap it. I love the colour.

    Stunning photo! And rather beautifully compliments your new theme too (which I also love, by the way)
    Pardon my ignorance, but what is the Crystal Cave? I never made it up North Queensland way.

    Oooh…thank you muchly!
    The Crystal Cave is actually not as good as it sounds - tis a shop, not really a cave (altho they have this cavernous thing at the end that you can ‘tour’). It’s in the main street of Atherton:
