I was also putting my thumb in a cup of ice & it felt like my thumb was going to explode & my wife said has anyone got a teaspoon of cement so he can harden up the sook.The pain lasted all day & night about 6 hours.My remedy was drink beer so about 7 beers later & 4 Bourbons I was asleep, I will never handle another catfish again & I did have thick gloves on as well.
