A LETTER signed by 56 well-known Australians will be handed to the federal, NSW and Victorian parliaments today, calling on them to suspend the sale of the Snowy Hydro scheme.

Former prime minister Malcolm Fraser, Justice Marcus Einfeld QC and actor Cate Blanchett are among the signatories to the letter, which will be handed over simultaneously at 10.30am.

NEW South Wales would miss out on new hospitals, roads and schools if the sale of the Snowy Hydro scheme did not go ahead, Premier Morris Iemma said today.

I'm not in the mood for a full-on rant today, but boy, is he testing my patience.
